San Antonio (Texas) City Council has approved a US$23.2m budget to finance the acquisition of three H125 helicopters from Airbus. The proposal from the legislative body calls for the new aircraft to be delivered to the San Antonio Police Department in 2024, 2025 and 2027,  replacing the department’s existing fleet of H120Bs on a one-in-one-out basis and, in addition to the aircraft, includes pilot and engineer training as part of the package.

The SAPD’s Aviation Division’s fleet is presently three H120B and a single H125.
