Salus Aviation, the Auckland-based helicopter MRO and rotary and fixed-wing aircraft sales and leasing company, has announced a new Executive Leadership Team (ELT). The new leadership structure follows the company’s purchase of Airwork Holdings’ New Zealand division in December of last year, together with its earlier acquisitions of Oceania Aviation and Heli Parts Network in the US, which it says gives it the ability to become one to the largest helicopter MRO facilities in the market. Salus Aviation has already begun absorbing the acquired businesses into its structure. Airwork has already moved under the Salus Aviation umbrella, and Heli Parts and Oceania will follow in the coming months.
This integration has driven the creation of the new team, which, the company says, will allow it to execute its strategic plan to expand globally.
Joining CEO Greg Edmonds on the ELT will be Philipp Antwerpen, promoted to Executive General Manager MRO. As the Executive General Manager of Aircraft Sales and Leasing, Wayne Christie and his team will provide “holistic, sustainable solutions” for customers looking for aircraft to lease or buy. Christie is also Head of the Fleet Team, managing the 44 helicopters Salus Aviation has on lease worldwide.
Suauu Poloa joined Salus Aviation in 2022 as Chief Financial Officer and heads up the Finance, Treasury, Budget, Reporting & Analysis and Commercial functions for the group. Dwayne McCalman joins the ELT as General Manager of Supply Chain. For the last eight years, McCalman has led the MRO Supply Chain operational areas and has strong relationships with aviation suppliers worldwide.
Alan Bradbury joins as General Manager Safety and Compliance. Bradbury leads a team of investigators, auditors, health and safety and SMS specialists to ensure industry best practices are continuously met. Lisa Holland has returned to Salus Aviation as General Manager – People and Capability after a short break away from aviation. Dajanna Campion has been appointed as General Manager of Marketing.
The company is still looking to appoint an Executive General Manager USA.
