Australian simulator manufacturer Ryan Aerospace has announced the delivery of its 500th simulator to an undisclosed customer. The company, which began operations in 2005 in the traditional simulator sector, has diversified its offerings in recent years to include virtual and mixed reality-based simulators, which the company says has taken it “to the next level” in sales and customer base.

While military customers in the US have formed the backbone of orders, with the company placing hundreds of simulators at facilities across the US in support of undergraduate pilot training, in recent years, civil operators and training establishments have been added to the company’s client base, with sales in Australia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Commenting on the delivery of the 500th simulator, Managing Director Chris Ryan said he was thrilled to reach the milestone and credited his small but growing team as well as partners with the success.

“We look forward to continuing the work we are doing with Prime, working with Vertex Solutions and Precision Flight Controls, who have been instrumental partners in many of these projects. In the meantime, we’re straight back at it with another seventy or so simulators to go out the door in the next two months.”
