PS Engineering has introduced its fully digital HUB50 audio management system. Using the new easy-to-use iPhone application, users will be able to control installation and operational configuration, including tailoring stations and audio sources, input and output impedance, audio levels and music distribution.

Additional features include the ability to store, modify, reuse and share custom profiles from the app, also allowing capabilities for configurations of any aircraft to be built away from the aircraft and loaded onto the HUB50 app in a matter of seconds.

New features to the app will include a status LED indicator, a PA speaker reconfigurable as a copilot cabin speaker, programmable Bluetooth ID, selectable audio output of FM transceivers for flight data recorders, as well as many additional features.

Access to the app will be limited to line installer and maintenance personnel with close proximity to the LRU, also requiring the unit itself to be in configuration mode for access. The HUB50 will be integrated into the existing PAC45A system, using current versions of the CTL45/A Control heads, while also being backwards compatible with HUB45AR.

The HUB50 will begin shipping in May 2023, following FAA TSOA.
