The Pinal County Sheriff’s Department in the US State of Arizona has expanded its use of Trakka’s range of products by adding a TrakkaBeam TLXc fitted to its UH-1. Pinal County SD already has an extensive fit-out of Trakka equipment across its fleet, which, besides the UH-1, includes two OH58s, one equipped with the TLX HISL, and one with a Total Mission Solution, which consists of the TC-300 – a 4-axis stabilised long-range EO/IR camera system – TLX searchlight, and Trakka’s TM-100 mapping and video management software.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office operates in a region that demands swift and effective SAR operations, often in challenging conditions. The TLXc acquisition is expected to significantly enhance the Sheriff’s Office’s ability to conduct SAR missions efficiently.

Trakka said the acquisition of the TLXc has significantly enhanced Pinal County’s search and rescue operations and surveillance activities/capabilities, using its HISL and EO/IR technology. All Trakka products adhere to the highest aviation qualification standards, including DO-160 and Mil-Spec 810.

“The TrakkaBeam TLXc has been chosen to support the demanding mission requirements of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopter,” explains Mike Kipphorn, Director of Business Development, North America West at Trakka Systems. “The TLXc, with its easy-to-use multi-spectral filters and Long Wave IR camera, is a great fit for Pinal County’s mission.”
