Entrol have delivered the first of it’s H64 Level 2 FTDs to Italy’s Heli Protection. The H64 is based on the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane. Developed originally to fulfil a US Army heavy lift requirement, S-64s are today deployed worldwide for aerial work and logging missions but above all as one of the world’s leading firefighting platforms where the type’s capacity and rapid refill capability has made it much in demand.
Entrol’s FTD is the first in the world to emulate the S-64 and features the company’s latest technology “We are proud to have certified the first FTD Level 2 based on the Sikorsky S-64 in the world. We believe that this simulator will increase safety in firefighting operations, as well as help reduce the carbon footprint of the training.
