Just before Christmas, four newly upgraded Bell 407GXi helicopters left Airborne Technologies and were delivered to the Polish Police in Warsaw. Each helicopter has been fitted with an Airborne LINX Surveillance System, which includes:

  • Airborne LINX Operator Workstation
  • Trakka TC-300 SDIR gimbal
  • Trakka A-800 Search Light
  • Trakka TM-100 Augmented Reality System
  • ECS Downlink

With just eight months from contract award to delivery, Airborne Technologies has finished the project as a subcontractor to JB Investments Limited. Stanisław Borowski, Member of the Board, JB Investments Sp. z o.o. said, “This project was a great challenge for all of us, especially in regards to the logistics and timing. We wouldn’t be able to achieve it without cooperation with professional and proven partners such as Airborne Technologies. ABT was responsible for the design and certification part of the project – working together with our technical team on the installation of the special mission equipment on four Bell 407GXi helicopters for the Polish police.”

These helicopters will join three other 407GXi, which are already in operation with the Polish Police and will focus on roadway traffic enforcement and monitoring. The helicopters are part of the EU-funded “Safer on the Roads” project.
