British Columbia-based Contour Helicopters has joined the Voxelis Customer Early Adoption Programme for the Voxelis VoxVision system. VoxVision is an AI-enabled vision and data collection platform that will evolve and expand helicopter utility using the latest generation of onboard AI computing.

“The 2023 wildfire season showed the urgency with which the industry needs to improve its wildfire suppression capabilities. VoxVision will be the first low-cost, mass-deployed, certified AI-edge computing platform for the civilian helicopter fleet and will provide a technology platform to rapidly evolve and expand the wildfire mission capabilities of our customers’ helicopters with the next generation of AI,” said Colin O’Neill, CEO and co-founder of Voxelis. “We are thrilled that Contour Helicopters is joining the Voxelis Early Customer Adoption Programme to introduce this technology to the market.”
