The Chilean National Forest Corporation (CONAF) has contracted an additional four firefighting Airbus H215s from Air Lama for the current southern hemisphere fire season, bringing CONAF’s Super Puma strength to seven aircraft.

Commenting on the contract, Air Lama CEO Xavi Vilaró said, “In the heavy helicopter segment, the H215 clearly leads the field in terms of the number of firefighters it can carry and its 4,000-litre water discharge capacity. It also has the longest range in its category. Our customer, the Chilean National Forest Corporation (CONAF), is more than satisfied.”
