Bell has acquired Eagle Copters Maintenance Pty. Ltd (ECM) an MRO with facilities in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales and Redcliffe, Queensland.
ECM was already part of Bell’s aftermarket network as one of the company’s customer service facilities (CSF) but the buyout will, say Bell enable them to expand its regional footprint aftermarket solutions in Australia and Asia-Pacific. Eagle is of course a familiar name in Bell support, ECM was formed as a joint venture between Calgary based Eagle Copters and Australia’s Aero Assist. The Eagle Copters network has worked with Bell for 40 years and is one of the company’s top producing CSFs.
“This acquisition enables us to provide local support and solutions to our customers in Australia and in Asia-Pacific,” said Chris Schaefer, director, Support and Services, Bell. “We are confident ECM has the right portfolio of service offerings for competitive aftermarket support in the region. We are excited to have them join the Bell family.” Adding his thoughts Grant Boyer ECM Director said “We’ve always felt a part of the Bell team from being a CSF partner for more than six years, We have a positive and strong reputation in the region and provide dedicated support to our customer network. The team is excited for this new journey with Bell and to continue bringing robust solutions in Australia and Asia-Pacific.”
