The old maxim ‘you may only take off when the weight of the paperwork equals the weight of the aircraft’ may no longer be true at DRF Luftreittung thanks to the digitalisation of its airworthiness documentation. Photo: DRF Luftrettung

HEMS operator DRF Luftrettung has signed a 10-year contract with GAMIT, based in the UK, to digitise the technical records for its 50+ strong fleet of H135s and 145s.

GAMIT’s Records Online Asset Management (ROAM) digital records solution will allow DRF to manage the volume of paperwork or, in this case, paperless work created by MRO monitoring, Airworthiness Directive compliance and associated documentation required for compliance. GAMIT said that the software will also allow DRF Luftrettung to capitalise on operational efficiencies, optimise manpower, and aid its continuous improvement objectives.

“We are excited to integrate ROAM into our daily operations,” said Roman Morka, Chief Technical Officer of DRF Luftrettung. “This cutting-edge solution not only advances our goal of becoming paperless but also enhances our operational efficiency, enabling us to deliver even higher standards of service.”

Meanwhile, Chris Leese-Wood, GAMIT’s Chief Operating Officer, added: “We are incredibly proud to have been selected by DRF Luftrettung. As one of the leading HEMS providers in Europe, DRF Luftrettung sets the bar for quality in rotorcraft operations and the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies. We look forward to supporting DRF Luftrettung in its operations and becoming a trusted partner.”
