The assembly of the first H160 destined for the French National Gendarmerie’s Air Force (FAGN) has begun at Airbus’ factory in Marignane. The H160 will be is the largest the FAGN has operated and while capable of performing a variety of missions will be primarily targeted at counter-terrorism operations. The helicopter, the first of an order of 10 is expected to enter service in the summer of 2024.
