Loft Dynamics AG has completed the sale of a virtual reality (VR) Airbus H125 training simulator to Multicom subsidiary Helixcom, based in Sicily, Italy. The simulator will be the first Loft Dynamics device in Italy.

Helixcom will install and operate the Loft Dynamic H125 from its base south of Caltanissetta in Sicily, Italy, joining its fleet of five H125 helicopters as part of the company’s aim to establish a comprehensive training and competence centre for helicopter pilots.

“Multicom will install a simulator at its aviation technical centre in Sicily, which compliments existing authorised training organisations (ATOs), aircraft operators and training centres,” said Gianluca Mannino Gueli, the owner of Multicom. “[Simulators] have proven to enable pilots to gain experience efficiently, safely and cost-effectively. Simulators allow future pilots to practice various training scenarios and operational procedures tailored to their specific field of activity, which has a positive impact on flight safety.”

“We are pleased that pilots in Italy now also have access to realistic state-of-the-art simulator training,” added Fabi Riesen, CEO of Loft Dynamics. “This could be a sign that our training device will soon become established in other regions as well.”
