Leonardo and THC are collaborating on substantial growth plans with an order of 20 AW139 intermediate twin-engine helicopters and a multi-year framework agreement for over 130 aircraft.

The order for 20 aircraft is aimed at strengthening the EMS and SAR capabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with deliveries scheduled for 2025 and 2026. The framework agreement for more than 130 aircraft will include a mix of AW109s, AW169s, AW139s and AW189Ks for various applications.

“We’re proud of THC’s massive helicopter fleet expansion plan leveraging our technology,” said Gian Piero Cutillo, Managing Director of Leonardo Helicopters. “Our state-of-the-art platforms will support their service capability growth programme with key life-saving and transport missions for the communities they serve.”

THC is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s premier commercial helicopter services provider and part of the nation’s strategy to activate new sectors in Saudi Arabia that support the realisation of its Vision 2030 initiative.
