In a last-ditch deal, Gama Aviation has concluded an agreement which will see the company take on the assets, contracts and licences of Specialist Aviation Services. Specialist, which provides HEMS aircraft for a number of Air Ambulance Charities in the south of England, had suffered losses over a number of years thanks to a number of unfavourable contracts. Under the terms of the rescue, Gama also takes over the leases on all six of the AW169s operated by Specialist as well as hiring the bulk of its employees.
