G2 Aviation has completed a conversion project which saw the Transport Canada approved AMO convert a utility Airbus AS350B2 to a VIP configuration for client Helicraft.  Airframe conversions offer an alternative to sourcing operation specific aircraft says the company  “With so few aircraft on the market today, more buyers are discovering the value of converting aircraft to their ideal configuration, complete with personalized finishes,” says G2 Aviation Vice President of Sales Richard Plourde. “G2 Aviation’s more than a decade of detailed maintenance and upgrade experience allows us to perform complete conversions from model, system, and avionics upgrades to the most detailed aesthetic touches, helping owners and operators create their ideal helicopter.”

Besides the ‘pimp’ my ride’ elements of the conversion which included black leather seating as well as interior and exterior paint the aircraft underwent an detailed inspection and avionics upgrade which will ultimately include a Garmin G500H dual screen electronic flight display, Garmin aera 760 portable GPS, Garmin GTN650H Comm/GPS/Nav multifunctional display, Garmin GMA 350HC audio panel, and MD302 standby instruments.

In addition to mode conversions the G2 regularly performs upgrades on AS350s It is in the process of converting an AS350BA to B2 standard and this aircraft remains customisable during the conversion process.
