Leonardo and its UK & Ireland distributor, Sloane Helicopters have confirmed a renewal of their agreement which covers AW109 GrandNew, AW109 Trekker and AW169 aircraft. The expectation, under the terms of the deal, is that at least seven aircraft will be delivered within the next two years.
The first of these an AW109 Grand New has been ordered for delivery next year and brings to seven the total that Sloane has on order for its customers all for delivery in 2023. At the signing ceremony, David George, Chairman of Sloane Helicopters, said: “We are delighted to continue and further develop our close partnership with Leonardo. The new Agusta branding focusses on an enhanced VIP customer experience. Combined with the helicopters’ leading performance and safety characteristics, along with excellent support services, the Agusta helicopters are the clear leader in the VIP/corporate sector.”
The latest order means that sales for the AW109 GrandNew are closing in on 260 and the total AW109 sales on 1,700.
