Enstrom is planning a three-aircraft display on its stand at this year’s EAA AirVenture air show, better known simply as Oshkosh.

The company says it sees the event “as an opportunity to reintroduce Enstrom to the world, announcing, we’re back, and we’re building quality, affordable helicopters once more”.

Included on the stand will be the latest glass cockpit variants of the 480B and 280FX, which made their debut at this year’s HAI Heli-Expo in Atlanta.

Oshkosh is generally seen as a fixed-wing-focused event. Enstrom is the only certified OEM to exhibit regularly at the event, but as the company’s Senior Technical Fellow, Bayard Dupont, explained: “There’s significant overlap in the Venn diagram of Enstrom owners and airplane enthusiasts. Many of our customers also fly airplanes, and many of them plan to attend EAA in Oshkosh.”

Accordingly, Enstrom’s leadership sees Oshkosh as “an invaluable opportunity to network with existing Enstrom customers and meet potential new customers.”

Enstrom’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dennis Martin, said: “Some visitors who are only experienced in fixed-wing aircraft might feel anxious about making the jump to rotorcraft, and there are a lot of misconceptions about the process. We get to tell everyone, ‘Hey! Helicopters are cool, and you can learn to fly one!’”

Also, one member of the Enstrom team at the show will be owner Chuck Surack, who will be on hand to answer visitors’ questions.
