The aircraft values consultancy Cirium has increased its market valuation estimate for the AW109 family in the face of growing demand from corporate operators and lengthening lead times for new aircraft. The consultancy said the capabilities of the type, together with its proven reliability, are driving its popularity.
Accordingly, based on recent transaction data, Cirium has increased its Market Value estimates for the in-production variants of the type (SP GrandNew and Trekker) by 10-15% while older models, notably the AW109S Grand, saw even greater value rises albeit from a lower price baseline.
