Bell Textron Inc. announced at HAI Heli-Expo 2022 the delivery of a Bell 505 to Beach Mosquito Control District (BMCD). Located in Panama City Beach, FL, the organization will leverage aerial support from the Bell 505 to administer insect-repellant spray and maintain a high-quality environment for its residents.
“Since its entry into service, our customers continuously praise the platform for its unparalleled performance during utility operations,” said Lane Evans, managing director, North America. “The Bell 505 combines an affordable price point with low operating costs and advanced technology, and we’re thrilled BMCD has selected this aircraft to support its community.”
BMCD seeks to protect the public health, safety and welfare by using science-based, environmentally sensitive, integrated mosquito control techniques employing public education, surveillance, source reduction, biological control and the judicious use of pesticides to enhance the quality of life for District residents.
