Leonardo report that the aviation subsidiary of the Angolan national oil company Sonangol, SonAir has placed an order for two AW139s to support its exploration and production operations. As part of the order SonAir will take a support and training package as well as an undisclosed number of options for further aircraft. Delivery of the first two aircraft, which form the first element of SonAir’s fleet renewal programme, is expected in the first quarter of next year.
