According to Sikorsky Customer Award submissions, US National Guard soldiers flying UH-60s have saved at least 1,018 lives in rescues across the United States. Following various natural disasters, the bulk of these came from the work of Guard units from Texas and Arkansas, who rescued 532 people in the wake of the devastating Memorial Day floods that swept central Texas in late May.
