Arrow Aviation has completed the installation of GPMS International’s Foresight MX on HALO Flight’s Bell 407GXis, making the not-for-profit HEMS provider the first HEMS operator in the US to fit HUMS technology in its aircraft.

Interestingly, the  CAMTS 12th Edition Standards, which many HEMS operators like HALO-Flight adhere to, strongly encourage the adoption of HUMS in alignment with NTSB recommendations.

“At HALO-Flight, we are always looking for ways to enhance the safety and efficiency of our operations,” said Travis Patterson, CEO of HALO-Flight. “Implementing Foresight MX allows us to take a proactive approach to maintenance, reducing unscheduled downtime and ensuring our aircraft are always ready to respond. This investment is not just about technology – it’s about ensuring we can continue to serve our South Texas community with the highest level of reliability and care.”

“We are proud to support HALO-Flight as the first HEMS operator to integrate Foresight MX into their operations,” added John Byus, Director of Sales at GPMS. “In life-saving missions where every second counts, ensuring aircraft availability and reliability is critical. HALO-Flight’s decision to adopt Foresight MX underscores their unwavering commitment to the safety of their crews and the communities they serve.”

But sometimes it is about more than just business as GPMS International’s Ronnie Ries, VP of Marketing, concludes: “This milestone is also deeply personal to me. HALO-Flight serves a community that includes many of my friends and family members – and they even saved my father-in-law’s life. As a non-profit, their impact is profound, and we’re incredibly proud to partner with them.”
