Skyryse has completed its first fully automated landing test run of the Skyryse One in a conforming production aircraft. Last month, the company successfully demonstrated a stable, fully automated hover.
“After we put out our last video showing us taking off with the swipe of a finger, we figured we should probably also show that we can land with the swipe of a finger too,” said Dr Mark Groden, CEO of Skyryse. “All kidding aside, automating helicopter landings are very important.”
The aircraft, based on the R66, has been seven years in the making, achieving an FAA Special Airworthiness Certificate in October 2024.
