Sikorsky has delivered the 5000th example of the UH-60/S-70, a UH-60M destined for the the United States Army. From the baseline UH-60 which entered service more than 40 years ago has expanded in to a number of variants including MH-60R/S maritime operations helicopters, MH-60T multi-mission , HH-60W rescue and internationally built S-70 Black Hawks to include the baseline FIREHAWK.
Commenting on the delivery, Sikorsky VP Army and Air Force systems, Nathalie Previte said:“We are committed to all H-60 and S-70 operators and look forward to enduring partnerships on the Hawk program in the years to come. It remains our priority to fulfill our customers’ requirements and meet the needs of current and future operational units.
