The second aircraft in a planned four-ship programme has joined the H140 flight test programme at Donauwörth. Airbus, which is certifying the model as a derivative of the H135, with the official designation EC135-T3, is planning for service entry in 2028 with the HEMS variant.
To date, Airbus has announced firm orders and other commitments for 74 examples of the type.
