After its enforced absence in 2020 due to the pandemic, the Airborne Public Safety Association’s APSCON conference and exposition returns this week in New Orleans. Robinson Helicopter Company has booth 613 at the event and will be displaying the R66 Police Helicopter that was recently delivered to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.
The Polk County agency received its R66 in April this year. The aircraft is equipped with a Wescam MX-10 EO/IR imaging system with HD infrared sensor, Spectrolab’s SX-7 Starsun searchlight system, AeroComputer’s UC-6000 digital mapping system and a Garmin G500H TXi 1060 flight display with synthetic vision technology.
