Enstrom Helicopter Corporation has announced that Chief Operating Officer (COO) Adam Richardson has been appointed President and CEO. Former President Todd Tetzlaff will remain with the company and move to Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Global Relations.
In its announcement, Enstrom was quick to emphasise the continuity nature of the appointment, noting that over the last two years, “Richardson and Tetzlaff have worked closely on strategies for bringing Enstrom back to global markets. Under their leadership, Enstrom has obtained its license to manufacture (Production Certificate), received its license to repair (Repair Station Certificate), and delivered piston and turbine helicopters to customers in both South America and Africa.”
A United States Marine Corps veteran, Richardson, who spent 17 years in a variety of operational roles at Rolls-Royce, joined Enstrom as COO in early 2023 and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Speaking about the appointment, Company Owner Chuck Surack said, “Adam Richardson has demonstrated an infectious energy and determination to succeed that will benefit both customers and Enstrom employees. We want to offer our customers world-class service befitting a world-class helicopter manufacturing company, and I believe Adam is the right person to lead that effort.”
Meanwhile, Tetzlaff’s new role will allow him to focus more specifically on Enstrom’s regulatory strategy and global relationships. Richardson added, “It’s amazing. I get to start with the full complement of knowledge we’ve built over the past two years. Todd is still here. I’m still here. What we are doing is organising and right-fitting our abilities in the best way for our employees, our customers, and our business model.”
