The FAA has approved an STC developed by Metro Aviation that allows the company’s EMS interior to be fitted in H160s making it the first completions centre to garner an approval for an EMS interior for the medium twin. Metro says it has worked closely with Airbus for a number years in anticipation of the type’s long awaited FAA certification as well as with end user customers of the first two EMS configured H160s to design what it calls a ‘mission ready’ interior for critical care needs.
As well as the in house completions Metro is also working on a upgrade kit for customers in Europe and elsewhere.
