Metro Aviation Inc. has recently delivered two refurbished AS350 B3 helicopters to the Ministry of Security of the Province of Buenos Aires. The refurbishment included the mandated 12-year inspection required for each aircraft.

“This 12-year inspection involved a lot moving parts and attention to detail, so we’re excited to put this helicopter back into service for the Province of Buenos Aires,” said Amy McMullen, Metro’s customer configuration controller. “Expanding our partnership with Argentina has proven to cement our relationship with the country.”

The Metro team identified several areas which needed attention, one of which was the lower blade corrosion, interior upholstery damage, and windshield impairment to name a few. In addition to the repairs, the Shreveport, Louisiana-based completion centre outfitted both helicopters with a fast rope system for air-to-ground police operations, an upgraded avionics system and a premium paint service.

This latest pair marks the third helicopter Metro have delivered to this South American customer, solidifying a three year partnership.
