Bell Textron has delivered Global Medical Response’s first IFR-configured Bell 407GXi, the first of 15 IFR 407GXi aircraft deliveries to the air medical service operator.

“Bell is proud to deliver the first aircraft in the series to Global Medical Response, highlighting a significant milestone in our relationship and reinforcing our commitment to being the premier HEMS mission partner,” said Lane Evans, Managing Director of North America Sales, Bell. “We are confident that the IFR-configured Bell 407GXi platform will enhance Global Medical Responses’ operations and its ability to serve more patients in need.”

In November 2024, Bell announced the signed purchase agreement for 15 Bell 407GXis outfitted with IFR configuration kits with an option to purchase nine additional aircraft for Global Medical Response, bringing its total Bell fleet to 250. With operations established in all 50 U.S. states and internationally, Global Medical Response plans to use the new aircraft fleet to extend its reach even further.

“Global Medical Response is excited to welcome our first IFR-configured Bell 407GXi to our EMS family,” said Nick Loporcaro, President and Chief Executive Officer, Global Medical Response. “We are proud to bring this new design not only to our patients but also to our crews, who save lives in the air and on the ground each and every day.”

“We are thankful for our long-standing relationship with Bell and their commitment to our critical health care work in communities across the country,” added Daniel Sweeza, National President of Air Operations for Global Medical Response. “The addition of the Bell 407GXi to our fleet will enable our teams to continue to reach patients who need us and provide the critical care we’re known for – from urban centres to rural communities and even disaster zones.”
