Enstrom is once again offering maintenance training courses for both A&P engineers/mechanics and pilots, which offer expert, factory training for the company’s piston and turbine models. Each course will last five full days, Monday to Friday.
Those joining the courses will learn all the nuances of how an Enstrom helicopter operates. Instructors will focus on inspection procedures, routine maintenance and overhaul, as well as airframe and rotor system troubleshooting. In addition, the courses will cover main rotor tracking and tail rotor balance procedures.
And not just the theory; participants will be able to practice what they have learned with hands-on models and tooling. While all courses are accredited for Inspection Authorisation renewal, Enstrom also offers certifications, one for licensed A&P mechanics and the other for the non-licenced, to demonstrate a familiarisation with Enstroms.
Speaking about the courses, Chip Zeismer, Enstrom’s Repair Station Coordinator, said, “It’s great to meet people from all around the world. These pilots and mechanics get to see inside the Enstrom factory and gain a glimpse at what goes into making the aircraft.”
Anyone who wants to attend is welcome to sign up, and following completion of the course, attendees can return for a refresher course as often as they like. Completing both piston and turbine classes in the same year is not required.
“We’ve seen the demand for these classes grow consistently year after year,” added Zeismer. “Last year, we had many new mechanics and owners sign up, and we also saw several familiar faces choose to join us for a refresher course.”
The course dates for this year are 9-13 June and 22-26 September for piston models and 16-20 June and 29 September-3 October for turbine models.
