CHC’s Brazilian subsidiary CHC do Brasil has agreed five new offshore support contracts with Petrobras, the oil and gas multinational. The contracts are due to start in the second half of the year and run until 2027/8. To fulfil the contracts, CHC do Brasil will deploy five AW139s which will be based at new facilities in Campos dos Goytacazes, Bartolomeu Lisandro Airport and Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport in Vitória. As a result, the company’s overall fleet will grow to 10 and the workforce to 280.

Commenting on the announcement, Gilson Caputo, Director of Operations, CHC do Brasil, said: “These new contract wins are testament to the fantastic and hard-working team we have here in Brazil. We are incredibly proud to have been chosen by Petrobras for this project in Campos and Vitória Basin. Supporting energy production is a core specialism of CHC, and we are committed to growing our operations in Latin America over the coming years.”

CHC says that it has significant long-term growth plans for the Latin American market. Besides Brazil, it also has an operation in Mexico and has previously flown in support of businesses in Suriname, Uruguay and the Falkland Islands.
