Airbus has received certification from the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for its H160 medium twin. The certification follows on from the approval from a number of regulators, including those of Europe, the USA, Japan, Canada, Malaysia and India

Speaking about the announcement, Christian Venzal, Airbus Helicopters’ Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, said: “We are excited about the H160 certification from CASA, which underscores Australia’s confidence and trust in our product. This achievement also paves the way for the aircraft’s entry into service in the country. The innovative H160 sets a new benchmark in terms of safety, comfort and environmental performance. We look forward to seeing the first H160 gracing Australia’s sky soon!”
