CAE has announced that it has secured a US$57 million contract to supply the Indian Navy with MH-60R Seahawk pilot and mission crew training. The contract is through the US Navy and the foreign military sales (FMS) programme.

Under the terms of the deal, CAE will develop and deliver two training devices, an MH-60R Tactical Operational Flight Trainer (TOFT) and an Avionics Maintenance and Weapons Load Trainer (AMWLT). The devices will include hardware, courseware, network components, training, and documentation for the MH-60 platform.

“We are honoured to continue to support the US Navy with the MH-60R TOFT and AMWLT devices,” said Merrill Stoddard, Division President and General Manager for CAE Defense & Security, USA. “CAE’s unmatched experience as a platform-independent training and simulation provider enables us to develop and enhance solutions that advance mission readiness.”

In addition to the US, CAE also produced training devices through the FMS programme for Australia, Denmark, Brazil, and South Korea.
