Bulgarian Border Guard selects Airborne Technologies for fleet upgrade

Airborne Technologies has been selected to service and modernise all special mission equipment on the entire Bulgarian Border Guard fleet. This is the second time that the Austrian-based company has been chosen to enhance Bulgarian aerial surveillance capabilities. Following a successful collaboration in 2019, where the Border Guard’s helicopters were outfitted with state-of-the-art cameras and workstations, this new contract is set to modernise the entire fleet.

For this upgrade, the helicopters will be equipped with the FLIR Star Safire 380 HD EO/IR camera, an ECS Line of Sight Downlink, and a carbon fibre tactical workstation. Airborne LINX, ABT’s Mission Management System, completes the integration and guarantees a smooth and easy-to-handle interplay of the sensors on board the platform.
