Bristow Norway began helicopter operations on new five-year contracts out of Florø, Norway, on 1 May 2017, supporting ENGIE E and P, A/S Norske Shell and Statoil.
Florø is a new location for Bristow Norway operations. From here, the company will provide transportation for ENGIE to the Gjøa Semi, while the A/S Norske Shell flights will fly to the Knarr FPSO.
Bristow has also commenced operations in support of Statoil from its established Bergen, Norway, base. With this new five-year contract, Bristow Norway is now providing flights between Bergen and all of Statoil’s installations in the area.
The company uses Sikorsky S-92 helicopter for operations at both locations. The S-92 helicopters are equipped with upgraded security systems, such as tail-mounted cameras and improved airborne-data connectivity and navigation systems. The helicopters also feature technology to support enhanced landing procedures to help reduce noise over congested areas.
