Boston MedFlight (BMF), a critical care transport service, announced the purchase of E3 Night Vision Goggles from Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU).

The E3 NVGs feature a comfortable, lightweight design and upgraded optics, with white-phosphor night vision image intensifier technology to reduce eye strain and blooming/shadowing from ground lights.

“We are extremely proud of our partnership with the team at Boston MedFlight and honoured to have them as an early adopter of E3,” said Dan Meyer, VP of Sales at ASU. “Boston MedFlight’s commitment to the health and safety of their pilots and clinicians is evident in their decision to purchase E3. These NVGs not only improve performance but also help safeguard the well-being of those tasked with life-saving missions.”

The purchase falls in line with BMF’s ambitions to improve the safety and well-being of its pilots and clinical team members, with the E3 NVGs designed to alleviate fatigue and potential injury.

“This purchase is a major investment in the safety of our employees,” said Rick Kenin, Chief Operating Officer for Transport at Boston MedFlight. “Our team is tasked with performing life-saving missions every day, often in challenging environments. Improved visibility and reducing the weight of their equipment allows them to focus on the critical tasks of piloting our aircraft and providing patient care.”
