Global aircraft trading company Blueberry Aviation has appointed Sofiane Cherchali as its new Vice-President Contracts. Cherchali will assume the new position on 3 July 2023 at Blueberry Aviation’s Monaco office.
In the role, Cherchali will focus on corporate and governance matters for the group, working alongside Philippa Cottle, Head of Legal. Other primary responsibilities include providing support for all transactions and driving business efficiency across Blueberry’s global operations.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to work closely with Francois [Gautier] and his commercial teams at this critical milestone for the company,” said Cherchali, referring to the company’s 20th anniversary this year. “I am eager to contribute to their growth and success through my role at Blueberry Aviation.”
Cherchali is a qualified solicitor in England while also a qualified lawyer in France and Spain, bringing a wealth of legal experience in aviation and aviation finance.
“Sofiane’s profile and expertise are a perfect fit for our company,” added Francois Gautier, CEO of Blueberry Aviation. “His international background and expertise in aviation finance will doubtless make an important contribution to Blueberry Aviation’s business.
“His expertise will be a critical tool that we will bring to our customers to structure transactions for both commercial aircraft and helicopter activities,” said Gautier.
