Bel Air Aviation A/S is once again flying offshore support operations from its home base at Esbjerg Airport in support of a new contract from TotalEnergies which will see daily flights to the oil and gas exploration company’s installations in the Tyra Field in the Danish sector of the North Sea.

TotalEnergies has increased demand for flights thanks to the Tyra Redevelopment as well as other ongoing projects at existing fields essential to uphold the security of energy supply in Denmark and Europe.

The contract, which will see Bel Air’s AW189s deployed, was due to begin on 1 April 2023. Commenting on the announcement, Bel Air’s MD Susanne Hessellund said: “Our entire team at our Homebase at Esbjerg Airport have been ready to fly out of Esbjerg all along – we are really grateful that we now succeeded in getting this opportunity to fly out of our base in Denmark again. The great and flexible cooperation with TotalEnergies these past months has been decisive for the new contract.”
