AIRTAXI World Congress (ATWC) will be opening for its fifth annual event from 7 to 10 October at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Conference and Exhibition Centre in Dubai.
The event gathers OEMs of clean-tech aircraft, start-up operators who plan to fly them, prospective buyers, investors, and regulators to plan future networking strategies and conduct business surrounding the aircraft. The OEMs will hold ‘fireside chats’ alongside workshops to discuss the role of regulators and route networks and the future role of handling agents and infrastructure specialists.
“We are looking forward to welcoming up to 1,000 delegates from all over the world in October,” said AIRTAXI World Congress President Mike Howarth.
ATWC includes a Showcase on 10 October, with a selection of eVTOLs, STOLs, Drones, and Next-Gen aircraft. This will be hosted at The Air Chateau Dubai Helipark. The Air Chateau was recently issued certification by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority to develop vertiports and heliports to support the development of future aircraft and operations. It has also pledged to acquire 100 Archer Midnight eVTOLs and 10 eVTOLs from Crisalion Mobility.
“Not since US deregulation in the 1980s and the ushering in of innovative regional aircraft and airlines have we seen such excitement in air transportation. In many ways this is Back to the Future, with the same reasons and requirements for regional, point to point air travel, but this time, powered by vertical lift technology, autonomy, AI and hybrid-electric propulsion. Observers have called this the Third Age of aviation, which is an excellent descriptor,” Mike added.
In previous years, the ATWC has seen participants such as the US FAA, Electra.aero, Rolls Royce, Volocopter, Lilium, AENA, Bristow Group, United Airlines, Honeywell, and more. Sessions at this year’s Congress will include:
- Airports of Tomorrow: Pioneering AAM Integration
- Airlines & Operators: The New Reality
- Regional Air Mobility vs Urban Air Mobility
- Heavy Cargo Drones and Delivery Services as a New Market
- USA, China, UK, and Portugal Markets
