The Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority has awarded Airliftt AS continuing airworthiness and maintenance organisation approvals for the Leonardo AW169 helicopter, the company announced on 8 May.
The approvals, which are in accordance with EU 1321/2014, clears Airlift to provide technical AW169 services to third party operators, especially in Norway and Scandinavia where the new type is being marketed to offshore and governmental operations.
The company will begin maritime pilot operations with three new AW169 on 1 July from its bases in Bergen and Hammerfest under a six year contract with the Norwegian Coastal Agency.
