Airbus Helicopters has signed a contract with Bengaluru-based Mahindra Aerostructures (MASPL) for the supply of H125 fuselages. The announcement follows an earlier agreement to produce fuselages for H130s signed in April.  Industrialisation work is expected to start immediately, with the first deliveries expected in 2027. Although the first delivery is timed to coincide with the inauguration of Airbus’s H125 Indian final assembly line (FAL) also in Bengaluru, MASPL-built H125 fuselages are destined for the Marignane production line like their H130 counterparts. That said, some will return to the Bengaluru FAL after more work is completed in Marignane.

Commenting on the announcement, Airbus India and South Asia President Jurgen Westermeier said, “This new contract with Mahindra Aerostructures is a testament to the strong capabilities of our partners in India and our shared vision for the future of the country’s aerospace industry. This work package, together with the H130 partnership and the coming H125 final assembly line, demonstrates our confidence in India as a critical hub for aerospace manufacturing.”
