Aerocool Rescue Helicopter, operating in the Coastal Bay of Plenty region in New Zealand, has already completed a number of life-saving missions since the year began with seven incidents attended on New Years Day.
As the year turned into 2025, the rescue crew were flying a male in life-threatening condition from Taupo Hospital to Waikato Hospital for further medical care. 20 minutes later, the crew were at Hahei, treating a male with injuries following an accident and flying him to Auckland City Hospital.
Later, on New Year’s Day morning, a patient required transportation from Rotorua Hospital to Waikato Hospital for further treatment after a fall, which was immediately followed by a flight to Matakana Island to assist a male in critical condition.
Aerocool then transferred a female patient and a male patient between hospitals within a few hours of each other and finished the day with one final flight between hospitals for a female patient in critical condition.
