Super yacht helicopter support services operator Advanced Flight New Zealand has announced that it will use Helispeed’s Bell 429 FNPT II simulator to train crews in yacht operations. According to Advanced Flight, while all shipboard operations have their challenges, yacht operations bring an additional level of complexity thanks to fluctuating deck surfaces, ship movements, and challenging weather, as well as variable deck crew knowledge.
According to Advanced Flight’s lead pilot yacht operations, Jeremy Cusiel, “We are continually looking for ways to enhance our operational excellence. Using HeliSpeed’s Bell 429 simulator allows us to rigorously train our pilots in conditions that mimic real-life yacht operations, ensuring that our team is fully equipped for any challenge.”
