ADAC Luftrettung has taken delivery of two H135s at Airbus’s Donauwörth factory, one of which is the 1,500th example to be delivered. ADAC has operated the type since 1996 and, in 2011, took delivery of another landmark example of the type, the 1,000th. The addition of the two new aircraft takes the German HEMS and SAR provider’s H135 fleet to 39 aircraft.

Following the delivery, the two H135s are heading to ADAC’s cutout centre in Bonn for completion. They are expected to enter service at the ADAC Luftrettung bases at Siegen and Straubing early next year.
