Ace Aeronautics has been certified by Sikorsky as its first Authorised Customer Support Centre with full authority to refurbish and upgrade legacy Black Hawk platforms including the UH/HH-60L and S-70A Black Hawk helicopters for international defence and commercial operators.
Ace Aero’s current customer base for legacy Black Hawks includes Ukraine, the Portuguese Air Force, Slovak Air Force, as well as numerous commercial customers. The company says that it is particularly targeting the South American market for future growth.
“The Ace Aero and Sikorsky partnership combines field-tested aircraft designs with modern technology, ensuring every refurbished Black Hawk meets rigorous performance and compliance standards,” said Rich Enderle, Ace Aeronautics Chief Executive Officer.
“By combining OEM authority with flexible integration, Sikorsky and Ace are redefining what’s possible for legacy Black Hawk fleets—making modernisation of accessible, mission-ready, and strategically smart”, added Hamid Salim, Vice President of Army and Air Force Systems at Sikorsky.
Earlier this year, Helicopter Alliance partner Ace Aeronautics was granted an STC which allows it to retrofit UH-60s with Garmin G5000H avionics suite the company is also partnering with Skyryse to fit the Skyryse OS fly by wire system to UH-60/S-70s.
